Jammin' Jon Interview

Q:  How did you get your “Big Break” or start in the industry?

A:  I got my start in the industry by being a DJ at my school and church in my hometown, Baton Rouge, Louisianna.  From there, I quickly learned that I could afford to put myself through college by being a DJ.

After I got out of school, my “Big Break” came when I moved to Orlando and was contracted to DJ at the theme parks!  From there, it’s been an Amazing Roller Coaster Ride as I’ve graduated from private parties to Mitzvahs, conventions, and so on…

Q:  What do you take away from your shows?

A:  What I like to take away from my shows is knowing that people are going to leave with something they can share.  I like it when I can turn an event into a memory.

Q:  What is your favorite part of the show?

A:  Crowd Interaction.  When I can turn the music off and the crowd continues to sing… now that’s what I love!!!

Q:  Name your favorite show.

A:   I can’t really say that there is one single event, because I have so many good memories.  But I will tell you that the most rewarding and consistent shows that I do are for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Q:  If you weren’t an entertainer, is there anything else that you would like to be doing?

A:  When it comes to work, I have 2 passions.  1:  Performing.  2:  Producing Events.  I love working behind the scenes to provide people with high quality and unique events.

Q:  What do you like to do when you’re not working?

A:  Play with my son, AJ!!! He’s a performer in training (P.I.T.)
